In 2013 the co-founders met in an entrepreneurship class at the University of Ottawa, where they were tasked with developing a viable business in 6 weeks. The team ran a crowdfunding campaign for the idea of a whiteboard notebook which saw the company raise $424,314 in 30 days; Canada’s 7th largest campaign at the time. The team then had the opportunity to pitch on Dragons Den where they were offered a deal from Arlene Dickinson for 300,000$.
